Part of Manny Villar’s C5 Project

November 3rd, 2009

When the “C5 insertion project” broke out and became controversial, I was on the lookout for that C5 extension. That is because I felt that the area they were describing was near my place.

I was right! The supposedly C5 extension would be passing through West Service Road, to Moonwalk and Multinational villages. The extension road would be running parallel to Kalayaan Road in Pasay (which is parallel to Merville Access Road), then to Armstrong Avenue in Moonwalk, Parañaque to Kaingin Road going to Multinational Village. The road would connect to Ninoy Aquino Avenue to Sucat Road.

Already the meter road that we are using now is a big help in easing up traffic in the area—the same way that the Daang Hari in Alabang-Imus route.

True, these road constructions may be dubious and may seemingly benefit the subdivisions owned by the person who wanted to see this project done, but they are useful, they are helpful commuters/motorists.

I don’t know with you, but I don’t mind seeing something concrete and tangible with the taxes that I had been paying.

Now, I just hope that these roads are constructed well, along with the drainage system.

  • HOW, REALLY, DID MANUEL BAMBA VILLAR JR. GET TO BE RICH? It bears to investigate and it can serve the Filipino nation well to know that Manny Villar may actually have broken through from Tondo-ragged accountant to billionaire-rich presidentiable by allowing himself to be used as a foreign investor’s dummy in the Philippine real estate business. You see, the conduct of real estate business in the Philippines is made exclusive by law to Filipino citizens, necessarily because its affairs involve sensitive issues affecting civil rights, territory, sovereignty, patrimony, and national security. Wasn’t that a debonair American who was smilingly visible every day at the offices of Crown Asia Inc. way back before the Villars became political aspirants? Unfortunately, sighting American presence at the Crown Asia Inc. organization deteriorates to zero visibility in hot election weather, especially nowadays! As Manny Villar embarked on a political career, it strategically became imperative to avoid flaks of damaging controversy about being financially beholden to foreign influence, especially from nationalist camps of the likes of then Senator Teofisto Guingona Jr. who was one among legislators instrumental in passing general law limiting real estate business in the Philippines to Filipinos only. In fact, it was from 1997 to 1999 that the bespectacled, middle-aged, happy American investor (silent? fronted? non-express? implied?) of Crown Asia Inc. was last regularly observed at the 18th Floor of Cityland Herrera Tower. Apart from being born with a silver spoon, most of us often have "humble", sometimes "rotten", beginnings; yet being transparent about such beginnings can do even more good than harm. The answer may go as far back as Villar’s auditing days at internationally-patronized Sycip Gorres Velayo (SGV) or, perhaps, good Senator Manuel Villar would like to comment on the matter at this time?

sana po matulungan nyo din po unga mga taong gusto magahanp ng trabaho sa abroad like me...and good luck po sana po kyo ang maging pangulo ng pilipinas
  • Hi, Hendricks! Actually, we need more diversion roads to ease up traffic. I'm glad you see the WHOLE picture. It's politics that's really messing up things and perspectives.

Yes we need good and enough roads. I dont see anything wrong yet on the C5 project. But I think I can see clearly wrong in not facing the issue head on and provide complete information in a forum which is part of our government system. Too much of impunity already in high government offices. Sen Villar should differentiate himself from this kind of behavior. The heating up of the controversy is a good opportunity for him to do this.

minsan kasi when should look at the WHOLE of a situation. the controversies were answered and from my perspective it was already settled. point is there's this road under construction and months from now it can be accesible...many people will benefit...

and i can see anything wrong with that.
