Handumanan (Remembrance) Premieres

July 13th, 2009

Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) announces the premiere showing of Handumanan (Remembrance)
at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (CCP Little Theater) on July 22, 2009, Wednesday, 9PM.

Handuman is a story about three people who seem to lead hopeless lives until they met in a resort in Negros Oriental.

It stars Chin Chin Gutierrez (as a romance novelist), Jason Abalos (a government auditor but a frustrated writer), Akihiro (as Carlos, a model), and Gina Lumauig (as mother to Jason).

After Sol (Gutierrez) leaves her job for Dumaguete, she finds out she discovers blogging through her niece (Nadine May Orillana), and makes it her new venue for writing. Carlos, whose face has graced the covers of Sol’s pocketbooks, searches for her. While Lean (Abalos), who goes to Dumaguete on official business, finds himself drawn to Sol.

Produced by Red Room Productions, Handumanan is the first full-length film of Seymour Barros Sanchez. It will compete for the prestigious Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) award.
