On its 5th year, Marry Me at Marriott is still the most coveted bridal show. It has gone up a few notches higher with its opulence and grandiose designs and ideas.

Marriott Manila Hotel is indeed the best wedding venue in town. The show presents how it is to marry the girl of your dreams in all its splendor.

chic Mercedes Benz SLC bridal car

A show-stopping opening to the bridal show is a chic Mercedes Benz SLC bridal car

Marry Me At Marriott bridal show opens with a harmonious clanging of wedding bells, which ushers down the aisle the chic Mercedes Benz SLC bridal car. On the stage flashed the words, “Get me to church on time.”

At that point, I felt the goosebumps and thought to myself, this show has a story to tell—that your wedding could start out grand yet romantic that way.

Your Wedding Must-Haves

You can start with a chic Mercedes Benz SLC bridal car driving you down the driveway of Marriott Manila Grand Ballroom or your choice of church, and leave in a sleek Mercedes Benz SLC convertible driven by the dapper Alden Richards. This can happen only in Marriott as these stylish cars have access to the Grand Ballroom through the two car lifts in a seamless choreography.

Silk Aerialists

Two silk aerialists in an electrifying acrobatics while an 8-tier wedding cake descended from the ceiling, for that symbolic slicing of the cake

Not only that you will have a plethora of bridal collections, stellar performances. First of which is an electrifying aerial dance, an acrobatics from a fabric hung on the Grand Ballroom’s 12-meter high ceiling. While the two dancers the work the fabrics, an 8-tier (height) wedding cake descended from the ceiling, leading to a symbolic slicing of the cake scene.

Invite the string ensemble by in-demand wedding instrumentalist, Bernie Pasamba, to be cued in the dreamy fall of rose petals while endearing little girls walk through it. For your first dance, rock the entire runway with a romantic-to-upbeat flash mob performance with Manila’s top dance group, G-force. Then be serenaded by the trio group Groomsmen. Now, those are incredible elements you can include in your Marriott wedding.

A Reception to Impress

Executive Chef Meik Brammer

Executive Chef Meik Brammer whips up another astounding feast that left the guests satisfied and filled.

Imagine having Executive Chef Meik Brammer attend to every detail of your sumptuous reception feast. There will be a long-stretch of appetizers, savories and desserts overflowed for the 1,000 invited guests. Entrees will include a handful variations of California roll on an ice-carving, delicious canapés, bourbon smoked pork leg, and organic vegetables. An extra cheese can be added to the romantic event on a huge table of locally-sourced cheese paired with German bread, a recipe only Chef Meik can pull off.  Your plush dessert table will have cakes, cupcakes, homemade marshmallows, macaroons, fresh fruits, chocolates, and vegan bars. You can have the biggest iron pan filled to the rim with beef stew. All these sumptuous food downed by endless servings of sparkling, red and white wine.

Man Ho Manila Opens at Marriot Hotel Manila

Marriott Manila Spreads Bounteous Luck this Year of the Fire Rooster

Man Ho Manila at Marriott Hotel Manila

Treasure and Tradition at Man Ho Manila
Marriott Manila celebrates the biggest festival in the Chinese Lunar calendar,  the Year of the Fire Rooster, with treasure and tradition in a box: three traditional delicacies: Tikoy (Nian Gao), Radish Cake (Lo Bak Go), and Taro Cake (Wu Tao Gao).

Tikoy (Nian Gao), Radish Cake (Lo Bak Go), and Taro Cake (Wu Tao Gao)

Executive Chinese Law Wui Wing prepare them in the most flavorful and authentic way. The round-shaped 750-gram Tikoy, with a classic sweet taste symbolizes the Chinese culture to mean “higher year.” It will attract wealth and luck throughout the year. Likewise, the 500-gram radish and taro cake slices, made using prime ingredients from Hong Kong, signify good fortune and prosperity. The elegant red oriental box—whether shared or enjoyed by the family alone at the center of your New Year celebration—symbolizes an abundance of luck and prosperity. This box is only Php 1,388 at Marriott Café Bakery, Crema, and the newly-opened Man Ho Chinese restaurant.

Man Ho’s Feast of Good Fortune and Infinite Happiness
Marriott Manila this year offers more than the elegant red oriental box as it opens its Chinese restaurant, Man Ho.  You and your family can celebrate more meaningfully at the Chinese Lunar New Year with a lavish 11-course feast. Choose from two set menus:

The Good Fortune for Php 36,888++ includes marinated radish and black fungus as starters, assorted barbecued meat combination with a covetous suckling pig, braised dried oyster with garlic and vegetables, braised fish lip soup with sea cucumber and black mushroom, sautéed clam meat and sliced chicken with celery chili sauce, steamed live tiger Garoupa fish, deep fried crispy chicken, stir-fried kai lan with ginger sauce, fried rice cooked in Fujian style, and desserts like sweetened red bean cream with dumplings, custard bun with egg yolk, and coconut pudding with red bean.

This is the Good Fortune spread that we enjoyed in full!

Grand, Glittery, and Gold at Marriott Manila

Marriott Manila Hotel was transformed into a glitzy space last February 10. It was a night of all things shining, shimmering, splendid as Marriott Hotel Manila’s associates – aptly called Brilliant Hosts – celebrated their Annual Party at the Manila Ballroom. With the theme “Grand, Glittery, and Gold,” the hosts were in their best regalia as the men were dapper in their suits and tuxedos, while the ladies strutted their stuff in their beautiful flowing gowns.

All of the hotel’s departments were divided into groups and were tasked to create a video presentation based on an era assigned to them, from the roaring 50’s to the modern 2000’s, whilst still staying true to the night’s theme. The Sales & Marketing and Engineering team defended their title and emerged as the champion for the 2nd straight year with their rock-and-roll inspired 80’s music video, while the F&B Kitchen team won 2nd place with their throwback 90’s entry and the Housekeeping and Laundry team bagged 3rd place with their flashback 50’s short film.

Fritz Andal of the Engineering Department and Joanna Tiglao of the F&B Kitchen Department emerged as the Best Male and Female Performers respectively, while Cholo Martillo and Jane Manzanero, both from the Sales and Marketing Department, won as Male and Female Stars of the Night.

The video presentations as well as the individual winners were chosen by Mr. Ronan Capinding, Mr. Roly Halagao, and Mr. Paul Daza.

Marriott’s philosophy of “putting people first” resonates in the manner that the Brilliant Hosts provide utmost service to their guests by exemplifying the adage of their brand founder Mr. J. W. Marriott, “If you take care of your associates, they will take care of the customer, and the customer will keep coming back.” And for one day each year, the company celebrates in thanksgiving for all the hard work and commitment that its hosts provide to make Marriott Hotel Manila as successful as it is today.
