On Getting an Insurance

I know not many people understand the value of having an insurance. Little do they know that getting an insurance is like forcing yourself to save. You are guaranteed that ou have something set aside for the rainy days, and more importantly it will protect your loved ones when you go.

My family has always believed in insurance. That’s why we’re all covered. I first got aware of the concept of insurance or pension plans when I was going to college. My father handed me an amount to open a savings account to cover for my allowance through college years. And that was from a plan that my grandfather paid up for me. My brother got his, too.

I can’t entirely blame people to think twice about getting an insurance especially when they hear about insurance companies folding up. But for me, it’s only a matter of taking a calculated risk. Of course, you don’t get from the less reliable companies!

Anyway, if you are like me who believe in insurance, you can start by getting an Aptus life insurance quote. It’s free and they offer really good advice on insurance. It can be confusing to choose which plan best suits your need. You may choose those term life plans where you get a coverage at a fixed rate for a specified period of time, or term. Once the specified term maturs or is completed, the policy is no longer valid and you can either forego coverage or renegotiate coverage at new rates and under new conditions.

If you want to know more about insurance, you may go to IIX.com and get underwriting advice that help you evaluate risks and make informed decisions on which insurance coverage suits you.

Also, it’s better to get an insurance at a young age. You get more years covered, you get it cheaper, and yet better benefits in the end.

Investing in Gold

August 12th, 2011

A couple of days ago, I was watching the news on the stock market. It was a day after the US credit rating fell, which naturally affected Asian markets as well.

Then a discussion on how to invest money wisely followed. How to invest in stocks was among the topics.

In one of the tickers, it flashed that gold prices went up. This got me to thinking that investing in gold like investing in jewelry is also a safer alternative. Gold seldom depreciates, if it ever does, actually. The demand and supply for gold is in such a way that merits its high price.

In fact, a family friend who owns some shares in a copper-gold facility is on the verge now of selling its shares by the billions in dollars! That despite the crisis in the market, ok?

So, I think investing in gold at this time is very sound.

A website calledGold Coins Gain gives a free gold guide to visitors and help them gold investing information, where to get gold bullion coins and other precious metals. If you’re seriously considering going into investments in gold, check out their site.

The GCash and Friendster Partnership

February 12th, 2009

Yes, you heard it right. Globe GCash and Friendster are partnering to provide online money transfer. I read about it in the newspapers a couple of days ago, I think.

According to the news:

GXI and Friendster introduces the online money transfer feature to provide a more convenient and reliable way of transferring GCASH within Friendster. For a minimal amount of Php2.50 per transaction, a Friendster member can already send GCASH to anyone in his friends list by simply viewing the profile of the intended recipient and clicking the GCASH button after specifying the amount involved.

To ensure the security and authenticity of the funds transfer, a confirmation request is forwarded to the sender’s Globe or TM SIM then GCASH is transferred as simple as a text message.

For the GCCASH service, you can go to any GLOBE business center and apply for one.
