Last Friday, my office mate and I went to an upholstery store to check out blinds and rugs. We needed vertical blinds for the veranda and blinds for some windows. We wanted to get area rugs for our receiving area.

Luckily, we found a store that was on sale and so we were able to get cheap rugs but of good quality.

With the good finds, we are really excited to move in already. We believe that a nice office will also yield a good working environment.

If you’re into adventure and lots of nature, then you will surely enjoy Australia. That is what my husband told me. He went to Melbourne when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend, and had the time and circumstance been favorable, I would have gone with him.

But since we have a lot of friends there, the possibility of going back, with me tugging along this time, is not remote. Our friends have already been talking about going skydiving in Wollongong. Another group of friends also mentioned about a skydiving in Brisbane.

Well, we will try to go to Wollongong or Brisbane, but I know we will check out the skydiving in Sydney first. It will be like hitting two birds in one stone for me. I will not only see The Sydney Opera House but also get to skydive.

But before I do go skydiving and feel the adrenalin rush at 200kph, I’ll have to beef up on my skydiving skills, and prepare myself.

Here’s a word of caution from Dropzone:

“Skydiving accidents rarely result from equipment failure or bad luck. Remember: knowledge, skill and attitude. It’s about you as the individual. Even though this is a dangerous sport, if you exercise your new skills, keep your cool and do everything you’re taught to do, you should be fine.”

I can’t believe I am oblivious to this big concert that is happening tomorrow! The concert will be at the SM Mall of Asia grounds at 8PM.

Yes, Usher, the biggest singer, songwriter, producer, is coming to Manila. He has been touring Asia and the Philippines is his second to the last stop.

As I write, I know Magic 89.9’s is holding a contest where listeners can get a chance to win tickets to Usher’s concert. The station is still at it now.

Channel V that is sponsoring the show also held a contest, but it ended last July 2nd.

Well, I hope all of you Usher fans can see him live tomorrow!

Spain has always been known as an incredible tourist spot. All over the country there are a large number of events that draw tens of thousands of people annually to witness the culture, modern nightlife, and age old traditions of the Spanish. However, there is one celebration that is renowned above all others: San Fermin.

San Fermin is a festival that is held each year in Pamplona, a small city in Navarre. Beginning on the 6th of July, the afternoon Opening Ceremony draws a huge crowd around Town Hall, where the Pamplona party kicks off with the firing of a small rocket called the “chupinazo”, then leads into a huge celebration with live music, champagne, and plenty of dancing. But that is only the first day of the festival, and from then until the Closing Ceremony (14th July) there are a number of activities and events to enjoy.

The most well known and exciting events of the San Fermin festival is the Bull Run. This is a daily spectacle, and every morning a collection of bulls are run through the streets to the local arena, but the real excitement of this morning stampede comes from the many people who choose to run alongside them.

Here in the Philippines, Tapella Restaurant brings San Fermin in Manila with a twist. Tapella won’t have any opening ceremony around the town hall and definitely no bulls to run with, but a huge evening celebration of wine buffet paired with tapas, dancing and a lot of free items awaits you.
